On this page I have posted one my chess games in the Nimzovich-Rossolimo
attack of
the Sicilian Defense. This is one of my ICC correspondence games that I lost.
So far, my record at ICC isn't very good.

I hate when people play this against me! I don't have a
very good track record against the Nimzovich-Rossolimo attack.
a6 (This is my typical reply here and I need to
find a better one.) 4. Bxc6 bxc6 5. O-O d5
Black needs to undouble his pawns and free the Queenside
Bishop and thus plays d5, which is typical of how I play these kind of
positions.
6. d3 Bg4 7. Nbd2 e6
At this point in the game Black has a strong pawn center
but is lagging behind in development.

c3 Bxf3 9. Nxf3 Qa5
I cannot remember why I played the Queen to a5 here. I am
tempted to give that move a question mark because developing the Kingside
with Nf6 or g6 followed by Bg7 both seemed better here.
10. c4 Nf6 11. e5 Nd7 12. Bd2 Qc7
Black is still lagging
behind in development and needs to castle his King to safety.
13. Qe1 g6 14. Qe2 Bg7
15. Rfe1 O-O
Black has finally castled but White's pieces seemed better
placed and Black still has the doubled pawns. Black is putting pressure on
White's pawn at e5 and White is adequately defending it. Otherwise, Black
has no counter play yet.
16. cxd5 cxd5 17. Rac1 a5 18. d4 Rfb8 19. Rc2 c4
White is indirectly attacking the Black Queen on c7 and
thus makes capturing with the c pawn impossible.
20. b3 Nb6 21.
b4 axb4 22. Bxb4
Here Black decided to move the Knight in order to attack
the White Bishop on b4. The Knight is needed on c8 in order to keep the
White Bishop off d6 winning the exchange. However, Black forgot to keep
guarding the d6 square and moved the protecting Knight on the next move and
thus dropped the exchange!

Now Black is down a Rook for a Bishop. Both sides have
passed pawns but the a pawn is harder to stop than the advanced c pawn.
26. Qe3 Nc6 27.

Black can capture on a4 now but
somehow both sides have missed this capture!
Rb3? 30. a5 Rd3??
Black is trying to win the central pawns but never
considered what would happen if White captured the Rook on d3 with his
Queen!
31. Qxd3!! cxd3 32. Rxc6 Bh6
Black now has a Queen versus two rooks. Both sides have
passed pawns but Black's is doubled.
33. Rb6
d2 34. Rbb1 Qa6 35. Rd1 Bf8 36. Rdb1 d1=Q+ 37. Rxd1 Bb4
As it turns out Black cannot capture the pawn on a5 with
the Bishop because then it becomes pinned to the Black Queen and eventually
won.

h6 40. Rcb1 Bxa5 41. Rb4 1-0
