On this page I have posted one my chess games in The Sicilian Dragon. The game includes analysis and diagrams. This game was played against Glen Jackson's wife, Silvia.

This position is the Maroczy Bind against the Dragon Variation of the Sicilian Defense.

7. d4 cxd4 8. Nxd4 Qa5 9. Qa4

I'm not sure that trading Queens here is in White's best interests. Why waste a move just to put a Knight on the edge of the board? Better would have been 9. Be2 and the o-o.

 Qxa4 10. Nxa4 Nxe4

Now I'm up a Pawn and OK on development.

11. Nxc6 bxc6 12. Bd3 Nf6 13. O-O O-O 14. Rfe1 e6 15. c5 d5 16. Bf4 Nd7 17. Bd6 Re8 18. Nc3 a5 19. a4 Ba6 20. Bxa6 Rxa6

Although White's Bishop on d6 is annoying, Black's position is solid.

21. f4 (Drops a Pawn and weakens the King's position.) Bd4+ 22. Kh1 Bxc5 23. Bxc5 Nxc5 24. Re5

A Knight belongs on that square, not a Rook. The move really does nothing.

Nd3 25. Re3 Nxf4 (Now White is down another Pawn!) 26. Ne2 Nxe2 (Don't trade pieces when you are down material. You trade pieces when you are up material and Pawns when you are down.) 27. Rxe2 Rb8 28. Rb1 c5 29. b3 c4 30. Reb2 Rab6

I'm going to win the b Pawn no mater what White does, but here she drops a Rook!

31. bxc4 Rxb2 32. Rxb2 Rxb2 33. g4 dxc4 0-1
