Welcome to my Benoni Defense games page!

On this page I display links to my chess games in which I played either side of the Benoni Defense. The games include analysis and diagrams. I will place the actual games on separate pages listed by the opponent played.

There are several variations of the Benoni Defense and I have sometimes transposed into the Benoni Defense from other openings. The typical move order goes something like this:

1. d4 Nf6 2. c4 c5 3. d5 d6

Benoni Defense after 3... d6.

Plans for Black usually include g6, Bg7 and 0-0. Black will then play either e6 or e5 and go for some play in the Center. I will usually play b5 and transpose into the Benko Gambit.
